Yes. Blue Origin is growing its presence at Space Coast Regional Airport in Titusville through a nine acre staging area, a proposed lease of the airport's former terminal building, and a nearby light manufacturing facility on Grissom Parkway expected to employ around 100 workers.

Titusville has spent a long time being described as the town you drive through on the way to a launch. That description is getting harder to justify.

Over the past several months, Blue Origin has been quietly assembling a footprint in north Brevard County: acreage at Space Coast Regional Airport, a manufacturing building on Grissom Parkway, and a pending agreement for the airport's old terminal. None of it comes with the drama of a rocket launch. All of it points the same direction.

What is Blue Origin building at Cape Canaveral?

Blue Origin broke ground on August 31, 2026 on a 120,000 square foot payload processing facility at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. It is the first commercial payload processing facility on the Eastern Range, and it is expected to be finished in December 2027.

If you drove past the Cape on Monday morning, you missed a shovel ceremony that says more about the next five years on Florida's Space Coast than almost anything else that happened this summer.

Blue Origin and U.S. Space Force officials tossed dirt at the site of a new payload processing facility at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. It is not a launch pad, so it did not get the fanfare a launch pad gets. It is arguably more important. Rockets are only useful if the satellites and landers they carry have somewhere to be prepared, tested, and sealed inside the fairing. That work is called payload processing, and the Space Coast has been running short on room to do it.
