What is happening at Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal 10?
Port Canaveral is investing $95 million to expand and modernize Cruise Terminal 10 to more than 145,000 square feet, a project set for completion in November 2027 that will let the Brevard County port host the largest cruise ships in the world.
Port Canaveral does not sit still for long. The port announced a $95 million expansion of Cruise Terminal 10 this month, a project that will make the building roughly 30 percent larger and position Cape Canaveral to handle vessels carrying up to 6,700 passengers.
For anyone living on the Space Coast, port news is rarely just port news. Port Canaveral is one of the largest economic drivers in Brevard County, and every expansion ripples outward into restaurants, hotels, travel businesses, and the neighborhoods where the people who work there live.
Here is what was announced, what it actually includes, and why it matters if you are buying or selling a home anywhere near the coast.

Yes. Delta Air Lines is adding seasonal nonstop weekend service between Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) and New York LaGuardia, beginning December 19, 2026 and running through May 2, 2027.
Flying in and out of Brevard County is about to get easier. Airport leaders in Melbourne confirmed a new seasonal nonstop that connects Florida's Space Coast directly to one of the busiest metro areas in the country, and it lands right in the heart of cruise season.
Mark Busalacchi, director of business development at Melbourne Orlando International Airport, told Spectrum News 13 that New York LaGuardia is "our number two most popular unserved market here at Melbourne, so it's a pretty exciting time for us."
If you are weighing a move to Melbourne, Viera, Suntree, or one of the beachside towns, this is the kind of quiet upgrade that shows up in your life every single time you travel. Fewer connections. A shorter drive to the terminal. A hometown airport that keeps adding options instead of losing them.
