Yes. Delta Air Lines is adding seasonal nonstop weekend service between Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) and New York LaGuardia, beginning December 19, 2026 and running through May 2, 2027.
Flying in and out of Brevard County is about to get easier. Airport leaders in Melbourne confirmed a new seasonal nonstop that connects Florida's Space Coast directly to one of the busiest metro areas in the country, and it lands right in the heart of cruise season.
Mark Busalacchi, director of business development at Melbourne Orlando International Airport, told Spectrum News 13 that New York LaGuardia is "our number two most popular unserved market here at Melbourne, so it's a pretty exciting time for us."

What Delta Announced for Melbourne Orlando International Airport
The new service runs on Saturdays and Sundays only during the seasonal window. Delta will operate 40 round trips and add roughly 6,000 seats across the six-month period, according to airport officials.
The first flight is scheduled for December 19, 2026. The last scheduled flight of the season is May 2, 2027.
Busalacchi also signaled that the weekend schedule may only be the starting point. "If the route does well, we anticipate Delta will add daily service," he said.
That is worth paying attention to. Seasonal weekend routes are how airlines test a market. Strong bookings tend to turn into more frequency, and more frequency tends to bring competing carriers into the same market.
The Schedule Is Built Around Port Canaveral

That tracks with what I see on the ground. A steady share of the buyers I work with are not making a permanent move on day one. They buy a condo in Indialantic or Cape Canaveral, a single-story home in Suntree, or a place in Viera, and they split their year between two addresses for a while before committing full time.
A nonstop weekend flight makes that arrangement dramatically easier to manage. It also makes a Space Coast home easier to enjoy for the people who are not ready to give up their northern address yet.
The Airport Is a Bigger Economic Engine Than Most People Realize
Melbourne Orlando International Airport is not just a passenger terminal. Airport officials describe a $3 billion annual economic impact, with about 20,000 people working daily across the 2,500-acre property.
That property is home to roughly 60 aviation, aerospace, defense, manufacturing, and technology companies. It is one of the largest concentrated employment centers in Brevard County, and it sits directly next to some of the most in-demand residential areas in Melbourne and Suntree.
