Eau Gallie was its own independent city before merging with Melbourne in 1969 and retains a completely distinct identity. EGAD hosts one of Florida's largest outdoor arts festivals annually — the Eau Gallie Arts Festival. Year-round, the district has working studios, galleries, and performance venues. For buyers coming from cities with vibrant cultural scenes, EGAD is the answer to "will I miss that here?"

Walkability & Nightlife

Earthburn Prime (market + restaurant + bar), coffee shops, craft beer, and independent dining all within walking distance. The St. Patrick's Day festival draws thousands. This is the most walkable "going out" corridor in south Brevard County, competing with Cocoa Village for the best local dining experience.

Beach Access

The Eau Gallie Bridge connects EGAD directly to Indian Harbour Beach — bike-able for many residents. You get the "beach access" lifestyle at inland Melbourne prices.

1920s–1950s historic homes (many beautifully updated), mid-century modern, newer infill construction, and a small number of Indian River waterfront properties.
