How Much Does the Bus Cost in Brevard County?

According to the 321Transit fare page, fixed-route bus and trolley fares are:

  • 10-Ride Pass: $12.00
  • 30-Day Pass: $42.00
  • Reduced Fare 30-Day Pass: $21.00

Children under five ride free, and transfers between routes are free. Every bus and trolley has a bike rack for up to two bikes at no extra charge, first come, first served.

Who Qualifies for Reduced Fare?

321Transit offers reduced fares to seniors 60 and older, students, active or inactive military, people with disabilities, and riders registered for TD or ADA Paratransit. Medicare cards are accepted as proof for reduced fare. First-time riders apply for a Reduced Fare ID Card, and once approved, can buy reduced passes through Token Transit or other options.

Is There Free Bus Service in Melbourne?

Yes, for Melbourne residents. Thanks to a grant from the City of Melbourne, there is no fare on Routes 21, 24, and 29 for City of Melbourne residents with a valid ID riding within the city limits. That includes Route 29 toward Viera, as long as the trip stays inside Melbourne city limits.

Veterans also ride free systemwide on Veterans Day with an accepted ID, and ride at the 75 cent reduced fare the rest of the year.

Park and Ride, Vanpools, and Commuting

All Park and Ride lots in Brevard County are free for commuters. 321Transit also supports a vanpool program, where costs depend on commute distance and are shared among riders.
