Living Space Coast - Brevard County Real Estate
From Mims to Melbourne Beach

Best Beaches on Floridas Space Coast

72 miles of Atlantic coastline, every kind of beach. Surf town. Quiet family. Wild and undeveloped. Pet-friendly. Here is the locals guide.

North Brevard beaches

Playalinda Beach

Inside Canaveral National Seashore north of Titusville. Wild and undeveloped. Best closeup launch viewing in the county. Clothing-optional in some sections.

Jetty Park

Cape Canaveral. Best public launch viewing. Family-friendly. Cruise ship watching. Pier and snack bar.

Central Brevard beaches

Cocoa Beach

The classic. Surf town energy. Cocoa Beach Pier. Ron Jon Surf Shop. The most walkable beach community in Brevard.

Lori Wilson Park

Cocoa Beach. Free parking. Boardwalk through coastal hammock. One of the best public access points.

Patrick SFB Beach

Open to the public outside the base. Quieter stretch.

Pelican Beach Park

Satellite Beach. Low-key. Family-friendly. Less tourist traffic than Cocoa Beach.

South Brevard beaches

Indialantic Boardwalk

Walk from town to surf. Restaurants and shops just steps away.

Spessard Holland Park

Melbourne Beach. Long stretch of low-density coastline. Great for sunrise walks.

Sebastian Inlet (south end)

Just south of Brevard. Famous surf spot, fishing pier, state park, surfing world championships.

Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge

Critical sea turtle nesting beaches. Quietest stretch of coastline in the county.

Pet-friendly options

Most Brevard public beaches are NOT pet-friendly. The exception is Canova Beach Park (just south of Indian Harbour Beach, leash required). Some hotels and condos in Cocoa Beach and Indialantic accept pets in rentals.

A note from Rachel

Pick the beach, pick the town

Most Brevard relocation buyers eventually realize they have a favorite beach. That favorite tends to predict the right Brevard town for them. The walkable Indialantic Boardwalk crowd settles in Indialantic. The Lori Wilson Park crowd settles in Cocoa Beach. The Spessard Holland crowd settles in Melbourne Beach.
