This is personal for me. My husband is a veteran, so serving those who served means something. It is also a real part of what I do, not a marketing angle: in the last two years, our team has helped 18 veteran and military families buy here on their VA loan, with another under contract right now.
I moved to the Space Coast myself in 2022, and I work this market every day, from Satellite Beach and Indian Harbour Beach up through Cocoa Beach and Merritt Island. When you land here, you get someone who actually knows the areas around the base and what life near it is really like.

One of the best-kept secrets about living here: if you have base access, a lot of Patrick is right in your backyard. Retirees have full privileges, and since 2020, veterans with a service-connected disability rating, a Purple Heart, former POWs, and registered VA caregivers can use these too with a Veteran Health Identification Card.
Grocery shopping at cost-plus prices. For a household that shops it regularly, the savings add up fast, and it is minutes away.
Tax-free shopping on everything from clothing to electronics, plus a gas station with member pricing.
The Atlantic is right off the base. Add the golf course, fitness center, and MWR recreation, and your weekends are handled.
